I was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the son of a physician and a teacher, and learned early on the importance of helping others. I studied history as an undergraduate at Penn, and later completed a pre-medical education program followed by medical school at Temple.
After completing medical training in Chicago – my second favorite city- my wife and I returned to the East Coast to raise our two sons. I spent the next almost 30 years practicing as a kidney specialist in New Jersey where I focused on diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease.
I am now excited to be taking those skills and applying them to general internal medicine; I have always cared for the whole patient in my career and I’m hoping to focus more on preventive medicine, nutrition, and coordination of care.
My wife -a nutrition and wellness coach- and I are empty-nesters in Philly, where we enjoy restaurants, music, bike rides on the river, and hanging out on our roof deck.
