Specializing In
Primary Care Doctor in Philadelphia, PA
I am the eldest of four children, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Ever since I can remember I wanted to become a physician and make an impact on individuals who otherwise would not have access to good health care. I started my professional career off in a primary care setting where I took a special interest in individuals dealing with chronic diseases, particularly diabetes and hypertension. Unfortunately, these chronic disease states continue to affect the majority of our population today. In the early 2000s, I was immediately attracted to the field of Hospital Medicine where I remained for fourteen years, because I was able to treat many aspects of Internal Medicine and focus on chronic illnesses. It was also during that time, that I grew increasingly interested in Addiction Medicine & Behavioral health. I have worked hard to impact people in this population, who often face great disparities in our current healthcare system.
When I am not working, I enjoy participating in several community and family-based organizations, allowing me to give back and mentor the next generation of leaders. I am also a wife and mother of three daughters and one son who are my greatest inspiration.
